We've noticed our server is lacking some of the sensible cvar controls (recommended for silEnT by default). These are now in force as of now. Take time to make any adjustments to your own configs to avoid problems playing (sv_cvar range restrictions).

It appears so. They are in the standard defaults.cfg, and ours didn't have them.

That's good, and I suspect this won't effect most people that much. Its just the tweakers who are trying to gain an edge on people that it might catch (hopefully).

Don't really see too much that you can 'tweak' to get an edge outa that besides maybe timenudge or if you have an insane machine and running the legacy client could keep a constant 333 fps.

Most of those cvars ideal values lie in the reccomended zone anyway.

The snaps setting is practically irrelevant. The cg_fov restriction is perhaps better if you use 140 for the upper limit. Some players using widescreen may complain about 120. The default.cfg config for silEnT mod has never been updated.

But actually I was thinking of playing ET on a dual-monitor setup so I think 140 might have helped me. Oh well.
