One of my biggest complaints while playing has to be people NOT at objectives.....or at least Primary objectives. If all you care about is your K/D then stop reading and leave. If you care about winning, then proceed.

1. Not every enemy you encounter needs to be engaged. With 5 minutes left on Fuel Dump/Oasis do you really need to stop the axis engy from building the command post? Do you need to chase the axis cvops around the old city making sure he doesn't blow the old city mg nest? NO!!! Leave unconsequential enemy alone. If the objective is in front of you and the enemy poses little threat, leave them alone. If there is little time left, try to outrun, out corner, outwit the enemy instead of wasting time and ammo and health trying to kill every person you see on your way to the objective. And medics, you dont' need to shoot at everythign that moves. You CAN push your engies forward without engaging everything that looks good in a red dress.

2. You can die. God for bit you take 30 death on a map. I can pretty much garantee you that I have more deaths on this server than most anyone reading this thread. I pry have more kills on the server than some of you too, but it is about the deaths. If you aren't dieing A.You are not helping your team and wasting a slot for someone who can B.your team is rolling and everyone is on the same page. Don't be chickenshit. On supply depot the truck is indestructable. That means if you stand next to it it will move. If the truck can move you should be juming on it, humping it like a bunny rabbit, mounting it like a hard drive, anything to get it to move forward toward the objective. On Goldrush, don't be afraid to run through blaring enemy fire to jump on the tank 3 engies just died fixing. All it takes is you next to the objective for .3 seconds and your team will be rewarded with the spawn. If this was a limited lives server, obviously this would be a differetn story, but its not.

3. Medics should heal first. Yeah you may be a good shot. Yeah you may have already gotten a hs on the enemy med. YES YOU SHOULD STILL STOP TO PICK UP YOUR FALLEN TEAMY. If you have multiple people to rev, pickup the meds first. If you are a medic, and another medic dies after he revives you, PICK HIM UP BEFORE YOU PULL A GUN!!! Your team is better off with less people in limbo....and that means more revives and less BS rambo jackassery.

4. Medics SHOULD tk revive. I am tired of seeing meds run around trying to needle "Almost" dead teammates. If you see a teammate that is almost dead and you have a moment to tk revive them, do it. I especially think it is useful for medics. If you can get a needle prick from another med, you dont' need to waste packs on yourself that you could use for other teammates. Just be careful not to tk revive cvops that have satchels placed. They disappear upon death.

5. If there are mines placed the tug on Railgun DON'T FUCKING JUMP IN THE TUG!!!! If you guys haven't noticed, mines next to the tug blow up when it moves. I place mines just ahead of the entrances to the tug to vaporize any enemy that tries to jump in and move it. If you jump it, the mines are gone....and one less defense against the enemy. This also means dont' plant mines on the track, there is no use for them. The tug will clear them like a minesweaper csusing ABSOLUTELY NO damage whatsoever.

6. Bridge on Fuel Dump. You have to build the bridge and move the tank across. Don't fix the tank until the bridge is built. This will only waste your charge bar and give axis fdops free xp. Don't Defuse dynomite if the bridge isn't fully built yet. Just go ahead and build it with the dyno set. If you even START reinforcing the bridge, the dyno will not work. If you finish building the bridge, the dyno will disappear. Don't waste time on things that aren't necessary.

Add your own is fyou wish. These are just a few that happen quite a lot for me.

As tactical as many of your options sound, many players play the game more as a "REAL-FPS" than a 15 second all our sprint to objective killfest as many of us competitive experienced players do. Can't expect everyone to follow suit. With that said your rules may sound rediculous to a non-experienced player so maybe helping them out instead of getting mad at them would help them understand how to be more effecient at attacking or defending than calling them a stupid noob or rediculing their perceived "lackluster" efforts. Alot of your rules are based on the premise of expendable lives, saying so yourself if there were limited lives you would play differently. Taking into account 15 second spawntimes and relatively small maps such as supply depot YOU can account for wasting an entire spawn just to be able to touch the truck but a random pubber likely will not think the same. Best advice for ya nilla is to find likeminded ppl and roll with them in seperate fireteams. Hell, take a minute or two of time and find a noob that's shoots and plays the objective fairly well and coach him into being a better player. Even if you don't win the map something was still accomplished.

Worse thing in the world is getting pissed off at a video game. It's supposed to be fun.

P.S. tk revving is great for pro - but this is xpsave and everyone wants their med xp!!!! Me, personally when i med for ppl - i rarely give packs (waste of time unless everyone is already at objective). I use needles only, i follow close enough to not let them get gibbed and either finish off their engaged enemies for them or use them as a revive shield to focus a triple dink as soon as the assailants gun clicks. FTW!!!

What you gotta do is what luda said. Take a minute when you join and figure out who on ur team is the good TEAM players. For example when i join the server the first thing i do is make my own fireteam. Then when players like Luda or many others come on we get into the same private fireteam and it allows for much better communication and hence forth completing the objectives.

I agree about placing mines when the tug is not near the switch. reason is when you place mines on entrance of tug and one enemy dies and other gets on tug and crosses the switch. Once it crosses the switch its nto very easy to get it back before it reaches teh depot. So its always better to move the tug as far as you can and plant mines. so you have some time when they come near switch before you spwan and kill them.

@ Nilla - Also its good idea not to swear at ppl when they know what they are doing

As allies on Battery, I think people should engie rush the ramp as soon as a sniper and a mortar can get set up. Two or three engies rush the ramp with a medic and FO. FO throws an airstrike, medic medics. Hopefuly, one of the engies can make it into the base. Engie rushing seems to help in almost all areas when arty/mortars are pounding an objective and the sniper can put a round on the Axis covie trying to blow it up.

I prewarned my TIPS NOT RULES by saying fragwhores leave. You all have the wrong impression that I am pissed. I am not. I am merely trying to help those people who want to win and want to complete the objective. If you don't, then you read it and left. Don't be so quick to disregard my tips. Swearing is allowed. Take it with a grain of salt. I am an angry chatter, but not an angry person. I spent too much time asking nicelyfor help and "Coaching" other players to realize that unless you use language that will grab them, they won't even listen. Most of my cursing is focused at medics asking them to follow me to the objective, stay at the tug, follow the tank....ect. And generally they DON'T know the best way to complete the objective. Sure they may know how to point and shoot. This thread is not about that.

Again...these are not rules. They are suggestions to HELP you become a better player. Yes this is pub and it is a game and everyone should have fun. Believe it or not I do have fun.

Snipers on Battery (Allies). I can't stand to see snipers on Battery that leave themselves so hidden that they can not see more than a 4 foot span of the bunker. That is wasted time for sure. The most effective spot for a sniper is a spot where one can scan the whole top of the beach and the whole bunker. You'll get a lot more action anyways.

I totally agree. Sniping for the sake of getting a good kill count misses the point. I put myself in a place where I can see their covie clearly so I can get a good head shot on him while he's about to blow the ramp and then I can swing right and see the guy shooting out of the bunker and take him down.

I know these are not rules..

@ Nilla I enjoy when you comment on new players.. but i dont like it when you say soemthign to me Very Happy to be honest i enjoy playing wiht you coz you always go for objective unlike some good players who try to show off theri skills by just killing and only killing...

three things in life that destroy a person...1. greed 2. pride 3. anger.

I hope you are not an angry person in real nilla.

I like this topic!
Nilla, as Beck, Luda, and many others at IOW are good examples of how a great player can play for the team and not only for yourself, looking only for numbers!

I also dont care for kill/death numbers, my only objective is try to help the team to complete the mission.

I have few months of experience and my opinion is "humble", but ill try to add something here considering some difficults i have.
As i have limited skills i try to know well the map and enemy behavior, and get some advantage with strategy.

The people trying to beat records about kill/death, accuracy etc, like med whores spawkillers generally dont help too much as a people covering the team and objectives.

When i play with MG, i try to mount behind the line of fire, then i cannot shoot much people but i have good chances to take down the ones that can pass the line.
Try to avoid cross in the fire field of a friendly MG, cuz the friend will stop shoot to not kill you and the enemy will easy silent the MG.

To allies on gold rush, just after stole the tank, dont scatter the team by the map, and not need 5 people to escort tank. Concentrate in fast take over the superior floors, try to repel Axis coming from stairs and the room, from above and from stairs you have advantage and a good field of view and more easily can prevent the arty and engineers work, then you will easily pass through the first barrier.

If you are axis, and the allies have difficult to reach the tank, try to mine the tank instead arty, because mine can down the engineers trying to repair and with a good mining the tank will explode as soon as fixed, i cannot understand why they arty the tank when the tank is broken and are no allies near, and you cannot mine around nor protect the tank from because friendly arty. Try to put arty on the way of allies and have your charge bar ready to give a arty strike if they repair the tank or agglomerate near that.

For all maps, dont always run direct to the front, where the enemy is expecting you, try alternate ways and get the enemy by flanks or backwards, but always fast and covering the objective.
Its better lost 10 seconds in a alternated way and take down 2 or 3 enemys from the back instead cross under the arty fire and appear just where 5 enemys with mps, rnades and panzerfausts are waiting for you.

Walk always followed, or following, covered or covering the friends. Its better if you can wait 10 seconds to a friend spaw than run alone like a crazy to meet with about 5 enemys at front and die with no help for the team.

But not walk or run side by side, or both can be easily taked. Stand in a corner and cover the field while your friend advance, then when he reach other corner, he can stand for you coverage, then respectively. Thats how a trained real military force do.
If you are medic, go always behind, probably you will see your friend starting shooting and you can abate the enemy easily, and revive you friend as necessary. But do fast, cuz if you enemy smart they will shoot your friend until death.

Later ill try to post more impressions, feel free to disagree or learn more to me.

Cheeers,
Bolivar
