Little awhile ago logitech released their new mouse, the pro gaming mouse (PGM) and as of the last few days they came out the new 'Prodigy' line with a new G403 mouse.

http://gaming.logitech.com/en-us/product/pro-gaming-mouse

Now, up untill this point ive actually given up on Logitech. They haven't made anything slightly decent since the G9, and G500 (What sin still uses). And I guess
you could say the G303 is alright, but the shape barely agrees with anyone. and the people ive spoken too, it still has the sensor rattle problems. Ever since my G500 became faulty, i've never really experienced anything decent out of the company. The G502 they sent in replacement was wayyyy too heavy for my hand, (125g) and had thumb buttons that limited the area my hand could stretch and move. Plus the g502 looks like a fucking spaceship on meth. So I stopped using it since my wrist started hurting alot, and I opted in to buy a Zowie EC2A. which is alot lighter, has a safe shape. But the sensor isn't flawless. and I can feel it.

One thing about my G502 is that the sensor, never, at one point, fucked up. No sensor jumps with really fast swiping and doesnt jitter either. Ive never experienced something like that out a mouse. but the crappy gimmicks keep me from fully enjoying it. But it got me thinking, what if logitech released an actual mouse, that they didn't pay a failing art student to design and stuck the 3366 (G303 and G502 sensor) in with a safe, default mouse shape (microsoft intellamouse) thought it would never happen.

it seems like to me Logitech are stepping out of their comfort zones and making things people actually want, sounds funny huh?.
I'm pretty excited about these new mice, they both share pretty much the best sensor on the market (3366) that logitech seems to have exclusive rights over. the shapes are different, the Pro gaming mouse will have a flatter shape, resembling a G100, excellent for fingertip grip and claw.
But the G403, the one i'm most excited about, looks very similar to my old G500 and the Zowie ec2-a that im currently using.
Good for fingertip and palm, I switch between the two alot.
both of these mice will be light as shit, PGM (83g) G403 (87g)

So, I'm definitely NOT saying you should go and pre order these, the prices are kinda retarded atm since they just came out, and I'm going to wait atleast a month or two before I buy the G403. So that gives the chance for mice reviewers to get their hands on them and test it out. That way we can figure if its worth it and the price hopefully on amazon will go down a bit.

I loved my G500 too. I've got the 502 and am still not overly happy with it.

I got a 502 as a replacement for a faulty 500 and it only reached its potential once coupled with a decent mouse pad.

I'm now used to it and very happy with it though it is heavy. I wonder if there is some extra weight inside that could be removed...

I'm glad my G9x is still alive and well. Also, the G403 looks very similar to the Razer DeathAdder.
