We had problems with people in the past abusing the forums, so those features are limited to moderators.
I could re-examine the settings capabilities so that users can delete their own content, at least for clan members.

Overhauled the permissions for IoW-Members group on several of the forums. See if you can create a post here and then delete it (admins and jr admins can already do this).
Deleting threads is a bit more involved, I think you have to 'moderate this forum' from the forum list, at the bottom. Again, not sure if you will be able to delete entire threads, but you should be able to delete your own posts in the active forums.
EDIT:
In the forum list, scroll to the bottom and you should see something like this in the bottom right:
You can post new topics in this forum
You can reply to topics in this forum
You can edit your posts in this forum
You can delete your posts in this forum
You can vote in polls in this forum
You can ban other users in this forum
You can un-ban users in this forum
You can report post to moderators in this forum
You can post calendar events in this forum
You can attach files in this forum
You can download files in this forum
You can moderate this forum

Thanks! I tested being able to delete an individual post and it worked.

Super cool.
I can understand not allowing post deletion due to abuse. There is a certain someone on the B forum that likes to do a bunch of shit talking, and then two weeks later delete all of his posts so he cant be called out on the content.
Thanks Beck.

^^^^^ exactly that ^^^^^^
Unfortunately, if you dig around in here you can find trolls that went back and edited all their posts with [POST DELETED] or something along those lines, completely killing any context or denying any record of what was said.
But ---- I don't see why trusted IoW Members cannot have the ability to delete their own posts.

Actually - if i recall there was more to the prevention of post delete. I think it goes back to that guy we had from alaska who had several jokes posted up in the forums. Then he got pissed, went back and deleted a lot of his posts and it totally scrwed the SQL database counts and links causing problems in the thread.
