Due to my recent insomnia, I have been awake playing ET when I should be sleeping. Unfortunatly the IOW server is vacant in the middle of the night so I am forced to venture out and find another server to lose my precious sleep on.

I keep coming across servers that are filled with robots running around with their heads shoved up each others asses. I have encountered so many of them that I actually started making a list of servers NOT to join.

I am not sure what the logic is behind people filling their servers with bots just so it appears that someone is actually playing. I actually find it quite annoying. Does anyone else have this problem?

I could use some suggestions of other servers that might be enjoyable to play besides our beloved IOW server. So far in my middle of the night searches I have come up empty handed.

Ya its gay, on QW it SHOWS YOU how many of the players are bots, love that and wont join those servers.

Gah, I HATE bot servers. They are even more gay then Prince.

Best way to search for normal servers is

http://et.splatterladder.com/?mod=serverlist

go there and type in origin and it will give every server names originasl like IOW .

and also you can see where bots are running.. And just filter it out with out bots.

Also if you are on the "Play Online" screen where all the servers are listed, you can click once on the server and click "Get Server Info". It shows you all the settings, players and their respective pings. If any of the pings are 0, bots are there.

Since I don't use Xfire, I do it that way. I never saw the "bots" filter in-game. Guess I wasn't looking.

You can check my SL entry for where I play. I haven't had a lot of luck finding servers that are pub or even jaymod that don't have adren carryover or some crazy crap going on like double-jump or low gravity. I go where I go because my ping goes to 30 after a few minutes. Adren carries over to all classes so I go through ammo like sht through a goose.

Most of the people can't shoot super great, but if it takes 15 shots to kill EVERYONE, it's still a little bit of a challenge. LOL

I play late, so there is no one on IoW long enough for my ping to drop from 200+ to 50.

Well I wished you used xfire so I could track you down and frag togethor but since I am going to start using Splatter Ladder I can find you that way.

evil im in the same boat as u, i usually dont get around to playing until around midnite or so and no server everhas people on it and iow is no longe populated at nites which makes me a sad panda:(

but yeah if u find a good server evil, tell me as well but i dont use xfire either

oh btw the "No" was me but only becasue they are good some some kinds of practice but yeah when your looking for a good server they are irritating.

You dont even need internet to play with a server full of bots, just download the omnibot mod and run a custom game, so its good for those people with bad internet.
