I've been meaning to post this for a long time. I know that most seasoned players know this, but maybe some don't, I don't know.

Anyway, this topic is all about class switching. It's a concept that I rarely see used, and it can make a difference in winning or losing a map sometimes.

Just like a covert, who can steal uni's of the other team to gain access to doors, all players ON OUR SERVER (at least) can class switch. What this means is, you are a medic. Your best engineer (say...Beck) just got gibbed trying to defuse the dynomite on Fuel Dump. Well, don't wait for me to spawn and run with time ticking away. Steal my class, just like you would a uniform and suddenly you will be blessed with the ability to carry a wrench and disarm that dyno!

USE THIS ABILITY! I BEG OF YOU ALL! I have used it a few times to save our asses by becoming an engie to disarm. Now, just because you pick up Beck's wrench, does not mean you'll learn his whore-like mining tactics and occassional spats of SMG brilliance .

It's very usefull while arming dyno on objective too. When you are cops with uni and you have just let your eng to the dump but unofrtunately he got killed you can take his clothes and win map.

I've of late noticed myself being shafted during "class switching" oppurtunities. Each time I'm ALL ALONE but my partner in crime was gibbed, AND corpse exploded.

I believe the last patch of ETPub is giving you the 'success' of the guys class you are stealing. So not only are you switching classes, but if he's got akimbo lugers, and you don't, switch classes with him and you get akimbos, too. Am I right on that?
