I just use a 500 pulling rate, there's an option for 1000. But not alot of people I know who play et have it that high, just makes the mouse feel really jittery. Make sure you know which button changes your dpi on your mouse, should tell you on synapse. Because the most optimal DPI for fps games is 400, but obviously that's way too low for casual web browsing so you can round it back up when you done playing, I use 1300-1600dpi for browsing. So it would be best for the mouse to have atleast 2 options of dpi, 400 and then whatever felt like your older mouse.
So using 400dpi ingame will sound like a super low sensitivity but you can always round your et sens back up to what you're used to.
I'm not sure how much room you have on your computer table but id also suggest getting a decently sized mousepad, so that you don't rough up the feet on your deathadder. I'm pretty sure if you ask jayd nicely enough he'll send you one of the hundreds of thousand steelseries pads he owns.
