Gaming Week (2/10 - 2/16)

YES! Another week at IoW.

I'm going to try and play TUES THURS and FRI this week.....although FRI is damn valentines day, I think we're celebrating this year on Saturday, so shouldn't hurt my ability to play on Friday.

Been nice to have some new recruits in the clan, its brought some good excitement and freshness to the clan.

ALSO - some news that may have been floating around over the weekend - we ARE indeed looking at perhaps relocating the server back to Chicago. Nothing is final, nothing is decided, but we'll do our best to mitigate any disruptions with this move and the new server IP address.

And before you ask, yes we own www.iowclan.net which will be updated to the new IP. If people connect with this, no disruption at all.

First, the server hasn't moved yet. Still in San Jose. Secondly, you can try a few things to see how your ping will vary.

You can try this....

tracert 50.23.91.144 (current server IP)

tracert tx.maverickservers.com (Texas location -- a possibility)
tracert il.maverickservers.com (Chicago location)

You can't ping them, they are configured to not respond to pings, but Maverick says the last hop should basically tell you your ping.

Yes, this is it AFAIK. But it took him all of 30 minutes to move everything, so if it turns out to suck we can probably move to Chicago. But CA is gone!
