That's it Pete. If my primordial brain can manage, your ass is getting FLUNG, GIBBED, BURNED AND LOLED next time I see your ass on the pub.

You think I act like a 12 year old - it's more like 5. Come on -- toys for kids these days are so much cooler than the ones I had! I can't wait til my boys are old enough for Legos!

Speaking of old toys - great classics like Tinker Toys and Lincoln Logs are back. Again --- the 5 year old in me is very excited for the coming years! Laughing Laughing Laughing

ADDENDUM: You know what Pete. That's the second or third such comment in this forum of making fun of 30 year olds playing ET. Let me ask you this. What would you rather be doing when you're 30? Playing video games, or....what do other 30 year olds do? IDK....Laughing. I'll have you know, I am a Gen-X'er videogame generation member, way before you were even a glimmer in your daddy's eye, little Beck was gaming away on his Atari/Bally/Apple/NES. When you game as young as I and many others here (you'll probably be worse) it becomes inherit in your personality. I am a gamer, and I always will be. Yes, I have a family. I'm a great husband and a great father. I always take care of my family first. When I have my free time, I devote it to feeding my passion for games.

Click here for a basic free "IQ Test"
Over 130, and you can give yourself a pat on the back. It's not too difficult, but it's fun to see how fast you can complete it. My score was about what I expected and only 2 pts above what I scored in second grade. LOL

You can tell from the way people post that some are either fibbing about their IQ's or else they are all-time slackers.

Either way, it's loserville Wink

You can be the smartest person in the world, and if you are working at BK or Mickey D's at 25, then you have wasted it and are much worse off that someone with an IQ of 90 working their butt off to be the best carpenter/skilled laborer they can be.

On a lighter note:
My grandfather had a 4th grade education (he had to start working full-time at 9), and he built homes from the ground up and knows electricity like the back of his hand. He is a super humble man, but doesn't pull punches when people ask him a question.

Funny story (now keep in mind he's very humble and quiet):
My mother was talking to my grandfather one day after I had started college. I had won all these awards and scholarships and Mom was wondering from what source did I get all my "smarts". My grandfather, matter-of-factly, stated, "He probably got it from me." LOL

My Mom almost passed out from giggling so hard. She knew it was the truth, but was floored by how he said it as if it were as plain as a^2 + b^2 = c^2.

The man can look at a roof from the ground and tell you within half a bundle how many shingles it will take to cover it (in < 5 seconds).

Amazing.
J
