I used to be a big anime fan, now I only watch a couple of shows a year. I still really like it though. Anyone else in the clan watch anime? I was just wondering.

inb4 V3n and Kroc call me a fag or say something else reductive.

I watch a few of them, but as of late I haven't really had time to keep up with most of the shows...what did/do you watch?

We had a lot of japanese cartoons in France when I grew up. Later these were called anime but at the time, they were still simply cartoons. We had Macross/Robotech, Captain Harlock, Space Adventure Cobra... these titles have definitely helped getting a taste for sci-fi/space opera stuff

A few years passed and in high school I watched Urotsukidōji (early 90's). It was so new and so wrong at the time... It was the embodiment of all the negative prejudice one can have about anime. This serie was the one that pioneered tentacle porn.

I may have watched a few other things but really the only things that stuck are Akira/Ghost in the Shell/Appleseed and still I vastly prefer the books to their animated counterparts.

Hellsing, Trigun, Crono Crusade, Naruto, Inuyasha, a little bit of Wolf's Rain, Elfin Lied, Spirited Away, Street Fighter anime, Howl's Moving Castle, Yu Yu Hakashu, and probably many more.

@LiQuId: Too many to list. I've watched anime from pretty much every genre, and like quite a few of them. I do have a soft spot for shounen shows, even though most of them are derivative crap (for example: Naruto is Dragon Ball Z which is just Fist of the North Star) and take way too many episodes to end.

I'll tell you that my favorite anime is Rurouni Kenshin. But it's important to note that I'm well-aware of the distinction between the words "favorite" and "best". Rurouni Kenshin is by no means the best anime I've ever seen, it's just my favorite. XD

This year I've only watched (but not finished) KILL la KILL, Space Battleship Yamato 2199 and Samurai Flamenco (a show which has neither samurai or flamenco lol)

@Sir Sux-A-Lot: Cobra is awesome O_O. Oh God, you had to sit through Legend of the Overfiend? That sucks haha. How did you stay an anime fan after that? XD

@Sakura: I never got to finish Chrno Crusade, although I did enjoy the setting. If you like anime set in that time period, watch Baccano! as well. Very very good show. Plus it has Norio Wakamoto in it. XD Also which Street Fighter anime? I'm assuming you mean the Street Fighter II movie but given the fact there's also a TV series and 4 OVAs, I wanted to be sure. I actually quite like that Street Fighter II movie. As far as fighting game anime movies go, it's not bad. Howl's Moving Castle huh? How did you like that one? Have you watched any other Miyazaki movies? Most of his other movies are, and usually miles above Howl's.

Just watched New Fist of the North Star again. Lots of still shots, probably because most of the animation budget went into exploding heads.

A long time ago I watched a Street Fighter anime. I don't remember what it was but I know it was Street Fighter, I watched it w/ an ex-boyfriend of mine. I loved Howl's Moving Castle. I have loved all of Miyazaki's stuff. Princess Mononoke is also a good one. Elfin Lied isn't for everyone cause its extremely dark. Chrono Crusade is awesome. My brother bought me the entire season on DVD. Good stuff overall.

I do, haven't as much lately though. I have 1.75 TB of videos, most of which is anime, some movies. I'm going to say probably at least 1.25 TB of it is anime.
