BECK wrote (View Post): › see for me, it's all about having a GOOD album where the songs are all similar and the sound flows from song to song. A lot of mainstream artists just pump out a single with a bunch of shitty songs on there to fill the album - but there are plenty of brilliant bands and musicians who really embrace the idea that an album is a piece of art work in and of itself. Mostly, older 60's and 70's rock bands (the Beatles especially) really understood this and made it an art. There are some contemporary artists, like Beck in fact that still make brilliantly sounding albums where the songs are very distinct for whatever he was into at that time. I know that album listening is a rare thing in this day of $.99 cent downloads, and I've purchased my share of them too - but there's nothing like listening to Pink Floyd The Wall from beginning to end, or Dark Side of the Moon or Animals. I just love the continuity from song to song. They don't make them like they used to Thumbs Up

here are is a playlist i made a while back: http://grooveshark.com/playlist/Duude+sweet/27626843

it contains a lot of my current favorites. it has a lot of chill stuff and not as much "rock" also some neat rap that i enjoy (mainly older stuff, from the 90s)

NO AND THEN!

I don't recognize most of those artists - cause I'm old and listen to old music so..... Although I do see some classics on there indeed.

I did sample some of the songs though, I like it - downbeat and trippy. Mellow. Generally my kind of music Cool

that kind of "Down tempo" stuff is what i adore. you should sample some of the stuff you dont recognize since you might start to like this kind of stuff Very Happy

i also have a FEW dubstep songs in the list. even though i dislike most songs of the genre the ones that i have put in the playlist are very good imo.

Will do. I'm always looking for some new tunes.

Arrow Neighborhood #3 (Power Out) - Arcade Fire
Arrow No Cars Go - Arcade Fire
Arrow Sprawl II (Mountains Beyond Mountains) - Arcade Fire (love this song, it has a total 80's Blondie feel to it)
