Maybe I have the wrong title for the topic, but I wasn't sure what to call it.

Seeing as the site uploader is not functioning to its fullest, I have went elsewhere for demo hosting. I have managed to upload my demos successfully on to a site, and can search and find them easily, without being logged in.

But thats not the how I want you to find my demos. I want to link it, so when you click on the link, it will open up that window with the 'open' and 'save to disk' options. The only way I can manage to link it now, is to the webpage itself, which contains many different video files. I want one link, one file, when someone clicks on it, it downloads, no more browsing.

You know what I mean? I don't know how to do this. If it helps, I am using eSnips, so perhaps Pet(e) could help me out.

I've been toying with the idea of adding upload to your member profiles that will make it easy to host any files you want to include in the forum or share with others. I just need to set file size restrictions and upload quotas to each user.

yeah thats a good idea so you can just direct link it in. But you shouldnt be able to host more than like 5 files with a 5-10 minute demo size max.
