Is their anyway to STOP the forums from clearing the new post Icon with OUT actualy lookin at the thread? once the page refreshes the new post icon is now a no new posts icon, I'd like it better if I had to either read the post OR click something like mark all posts as read...

am i missing a option somewhere or is it just like that?

Do what I do - load the forum topics list on one window, then right-click "Open As New window" to view the topics in that forum (all still highlighted). Or, if you're cool and use Firefox - to "New Tab", which is the shit....

This way you can be sure to see 99% of the new posts.

Even when you go back to the threads list in the second window, the new threads will still be highlighted. When I get done reading through everything, I refresh my main window to see the new stuff.
