After reformatting my computer all my video files are really dark. My monitor settings and configurations are setup to be normal. Everything is normal brightness, contrast and all that stuff. In fact I have it even brighter than I did before the reformat.

Why are all my videos so dark. (I've check all the options I can find)

No matter what video player I'm using, every video is dark.

Any advice?

program could be set with a lower brightness or gamma then you have set before...

and is it just vidio or the screen in general and best seen when playing vidio?

I did do a driver update, and it's only videos, everything else runs properly. Like games, internet, eveyrthing except videos.

try using a different video program. At least reinstall. Doesn't sound like a hardware issue. Have you tried going to youtube or a similar place to try looking at those videos?

He said it did not matter what player he used… so I assume he tried others..
I still say gamma in the video players or contrast etc… might be off… try what krayz said … see how it looks… but also look at the gamma/briughtness its easy to see it on windows media player 9…
