Just a status report:

I'm definitely noticing a difference when I play. Last night I noticed that I had an easier time tracking people while strafing. I had to raise my mouse sensitivity though since it was harder to turn around. So now I think it's just a matter of getting used to the new sense. We'll see!

so did you kill mouse accel in windows or use the command line options? (answer might be useful to someone else sometime Smile)

I killed it in Windows. Doing it with the command line switches didn't guarantee me it would work so maybe the difference I would notice would be placebo. Killing it in Windows would be the only way for me to be sure.
