If I had to guess, you're probably getting them auto removed by the content ID match. Youtube basically shazams every audio clip in every video thats uploaded. If whatever clip you used ends up being from a copyright owner that doesn't want their music to be on youtube, it gets auto taken down. Universal, and Warner music I believe both have all their stuff auto removed. The ones that get through, like full songs and albums, usually those people dispute it when it originally gets taken down by the youtube bots. When you dispute something, your video goes to an actual human to watch it, someone affiliated with the company that has it copyrighted, if they think that its okay or harmless, or gives them good exposure, its put back up.

yeah, you're probably right. There is a "fair use" clause in the copyright laws that should allow you to use a sound clip in a not-for-profit way.
I posted that vid of my epic TK and it has that Guns N Roses song in it that they flagged and blocked. Bitches.
