Official "No School Day" Thread

I just thought I would add to this...

Yesterday (with no school and all) their were over 100 accidents localy...

One town truck was even hit. Made a newer (looking) maiblu into 1/2 its width killed 3 of 4 people (one kid 7) and antoher kid (2) is critical...

Shesh... heres the car...

Ouch... (the top was more than likly cut off to get the people out but still..)

Yesterday was a Fog Day, and today was an Ice Day.

Today wasn't a snow or ice day. Today was a "cold as fuck" day. All of the schools in the whole county I think, and most in this whole area of the state were called off LAST NIGHT. I guess they decided with a low of 5, even though it was already 4, was really cold. The high for today is, I don't even know, but with the wind chill it's like -10 to -5.

Today was actually a snow day. We have around 3 inches now, and supposed to be getting more heavy snow all day, followed by freezing rain later.

People get dismissed early because of the possibility of a snow storm? Or rather perhaps one worsening? Our schools have only ever been dismissed early because of bomb threats and power outages. We've had 3 of each in the past 3 years Laughing

Something to keep in mind - the city that is only 15 miles north of where I'm located has had a total of 11 snow days. Fifteen miles makes the difference of like 6 snow days; garbage.

Well see here we need to have X days of school... and getting out early still *counts* as a full day of school... so ya... if weather could be bad (ice and snow here today) they will get out early.

either 10am (today) or idk what time it is anymore but 8 periods a day... after 7th... so those are the 2 options
end of 3rd end of 7th only time i seen 7th used was when i was their and that was always a disaster... always was inchs and inchs of snow all over the roads by the time 7th came around.

I know just a little north of here they get a few more days off...

I'd bet on a 2H delay tmw as well...

MAY be off a little now as I been not paying as much attention as of late... like today... i heard it was a 2h delay... i was busy tryin to fix my oil burner (I aint gona get started on that).

That was quite the storm that rolled through last night. Wish my girlfriend didn't have to drive to Detroit in it. But another canceled day of school.

We were dismissed early because of no power in the school, other than that auxiliary power that is. My question is, why send us to school in the first place if the power's out? It went out at 6:15, and school doesn't start until 7:45.
