@Tan
1. No, no other programs or unimportant processes are running.
2. It is a cable connection 516k I think. Average on ET is about 60 ping
3. Currently since I don't have any anti-virus since I've just reformatted, no, there is no anti-virus.
4. Yes I have unplugged the modem and turned it back on, I have rebooted the modem and done properly.
5. No I have not checked my in Game settings for ET, it would not make a difference I believe because every online FPS game I'm playing is averaging the same crazy ping.
6. Windows XP Pro. Before I was using HOME but then this problem happened and I reformatted and converted over to Pro, now it's happening again, I've reformatted and it hasn't fixed.
7. I'm drunk half the time.... I love to drink. BUD THE KING OF BEERS!!!!
I really doubt that the router is the problem, if it was the whole network would be going crazy wouldn't it?
This is happening in every online game I've been playing, so it is not limited to ET.
Also if I download any large files they are "Supposedly" corrupt, no matter where I download them from or when. Sometimes if I keep trying to install over and over it sometimes works.
I've screwed around so much I just don't know what the fuck to do. Maybe I need to replace the motherboard or something.
But if it was that serious of a hardware problem I would notice other symptoms too wouldn't I? if it was the ram wouldn't I experience some sort of slowness?
