Here you go. In spoiler tags so you don't have to load it if you don't want to.

If I like a band or the cd enough,i'll buy it. Even if I have downloaded the songs for free already. Doesn't happen all the time, but there are exceptions.

I BUY all my music from iTunes. I know most of you think it's okay to download stuff free because of the evil record companies and what-not (stickin it to the man, right?). But I guess I'm just old-fashioned.

I also buy the actual cd to keep my collection complete. For example,if Death Cab or Morrissey come out with a new cd i'll buy it because I have all their other cd's.I'm also a sucker for the artwork and lyric booklets.

As for buying songs from itunes with no artwork and/or lryic booklet...thats just absurd Beck!!! Cool

I always buy the CDs of my more favorite bands to support them.

all u people who BUY and/or DOWNLOAD music fail. all of you. just use the damned cloud ( as they say in teh commercials on teh tv ).

there are so many great live music streaming sites that its pointless to ever download music again.

what i do is i use pandora for just listening (i pay 36$ a year for that so i dont have to listen to commercials and there is no 40 hour cap) once i hear some really good song on there i usually find it on a site called grooveshark.com and put it in a playlist there. i been doing this for a while now and i have a pretty big playlist on grooveshark of songs i only LOVE.

but yeah. grooveshark is awesome. its free, first of all. and all you do is type in what u wanna listen to and click it and it will play immediately. not a preview, the song.

now dont get me wrong, there are some down sides to grooveshar and pandora (mainly that the music selection is still limited) but for MOST people that will suffice (like me). also, for being free, i think grooveshark is the best value for money in terms of live music sreaming.

ps. i belive last.fm lets you stream music as well, but i have not used the site since i get all my shit done with the two apps i told you about.

Last.fm doesn't really let you stream anymore. You can listen to themed radio, but you really don't get a say in what plays.

As for streaming being your only source of music, that's kind of lame because you will always need an internet connection to get to your collection. I have a Zune I throw all of my music on and listen to whenever and where ever. But for less serious music enthusiasts I guess streaming would be suitable to them. I kind of need music throughout the day or else I lose it.
