So my fucking cat chewed the cord off of ANOTHER headset (may he rest in piece) and I'm looking for a replacement.
I'd like to get something that has a replaceable cord this time but cant seem to find many that fit that criteria. I don't really want to make the move to wireless. They are expensive and you don't get the bang for the buck with wireless.
I've been reading about the Hyper X Cloud II headset. Technically, its not a replaceable cord but plugs in to a USB sound card audio control box which plugs in to the usb port on the pc. That may not be good enough as the little fuck head seems to go straight for the analog plugs on the cords.
Any suggestions? Or maybe i'll just get a cheap headset because I know that its probably going to happen again.

You can buy a spray that you can put on the cord that makes it so your cat will stop chewing it. I had to get some for my shoelaces and it works pretty good. Whiskercity brand has a good one

Eliminate the problem by going wireless. My next headset will be wireless probably be Logitech G930. Battery: Up to 10 hours per charge and you can use them while charging. $78 on amazon
If you buy shitty $20 headsets 4 times which you will, you couldve just bought a nice expensive wireless headset. Or spray him with a water bottle when you see him chewing on cords.

I was using the spray for a long time and thought that I had him cured. It had been about a year since he's hit the headset or any of his other go to cords; usb chargers etc.
I think that he doesn't like the present company that I'm keeping.

Just think: You can still talk to us on TS when you're on the toilet taking a JayD

Is the latency as bad as they say using wireless headsets?

Because we need more exposure to radiation. http://emfblues.com/bluetooth-radiation/

I don't know of anyone who uses a wireless headset in the clan except for Nort. So maybe he can chime in on what headset he has and answer that.

Jayd has one I think. But hes probably got a nice piece of shit one thats at least 5 years old knowing him.

I'm pulling for the cat since you aren't gaming much anymore. Suck it!

I was on last friday - it was after you left. ;)

Think I'll send the cat some more suggestions about things for him to bite and chew on.

Nort and JD are the only two with wireless and neither are commenting on the thread.. First time Nort has nothing to say? :)
I'll be sending him down to your house for the weekend.

I am with Bak3d on wireless, it gives me a headache so it cant be doing anything helpful.
I love my HyperX CloudII. As far as the cat chewing wires I have had luck with a spray bottle set on stream combined with me yelling. Depending on what part your cat chews you could get a cable sleeve, might be bulky for the part near the headset but maybe for the lower part. Google it, there are a few different kinds. I keep mine in a drawer when i'm not using because the puppy in tornado mode got tangled in my last one and ripped it apart. Page 1 of 2
