Nerv, it's badass. I had a grin on my face the whole time. Non stop action for the whole two hours. Really great cinematography, awesome desert war machines and a pretty good story.

I don't think it would even compare.

It's not a remake, but part four of the overall series. I haven't seen the original for a long time, but the 35 year difference makes it hard to really compare.

This kinda disappoints me but I loved Hardy in Inception.

Mel is blacklisted in Hollywood. Shame, I like all his movies...

Some co-workers saw it and were blown away by how good it is.
Somehow they managed to keep the universe/mythos and to me it was always bigger than who's the actor playing Mad Max so I'm ok with that. I'll see it (at home)

Right - and part of it is that they wanted to make this film 15 years ago but it didn't happen. But the story is supposed to take place close after Thunderdome so having a 60 year old Mad Max didn't really make sense. But the main villain is pretty awesome.
Spoilers: One of my favorite things is the bad guys (forgive me, I don't know their proper name...) have a vehicle with giant drums on one side and this guitar guy swinging from chains on the front. Its hilarious. 
Seriously - see this film its pretty f'n awesome bros
