This is a preliminary thread to announce a new reward promotion for our loyal <IoW> Members for this up-coming summer. We've got our 10 Year Clan Anniversary coming up, and one thing that the admins are working is a contest where the winner gets to plan the maps that appear on the server for a week.

This would allow you to put on all your favorites. Maybe you have a theme in mind?

Rules and policies will be forthcoming - but for now, this is a general "FYI" announcement. Whatever contest we do will begin on June 1st, and the winner will most likely be determined by overall minutes on the server for the month of June! As I said - more on this to come as we're still discussing the rules and policies on this...

To introduce this -- we're going to let each of our admins have a crack at planning maps for the next 5 weeks leading up to the end of the contest. Generally map choice is just me picking crap I haven't seen on in a while to keep the server fresh - but I had this idea of letting the other admins have more say and control over this and the idea of a promotional contest seemed like a no-brainer.

As long as allagor doesn't win, I'm cool with it. I'm virtually certain he'll do an all Vip rotation.

Well, allagor won't be eligible. This would be for non-admins and <IoW> Members only :)

Admins will all get a shot leading up to this - so prepare for Allagor's Unk/Gauntlet assault soon :P


Just to be clear: The popular regulars and stocks will always be on -- we're not just going to have a bunch of weirdo japanese maps on. More than likely this will be capped at the winner picking 10 maps. But those 10 maps will be up to the winner to choose from the available pool, or new maps they provide me with.

Can we choose maps with certain settings like for instance baserace with low gravity and panzer war? or a 5 minute head shot only purefrag?

Interesting suggestions. We'll have to ponder this.
