I really like the feel of the 502 in my hand, its definitively not a good palm grip mouse though as my pinky has really nowhere to rest when I try that grip out. I think we'll probably see a revised version of the 502 come out in a year or so that fixes that and fixes the bottom cover having too much friction.

If you read that last post with the dicksbymail.com thing in your head, it's so much funnier.

The 502 is really starting to piss me off. The bottom cover is such a piece of crap. I dont see why it has to have the crappy texture on it instead of just getting some nice feet instead. It's probably the best sensor to ever be released but I'm probably going to try something else because i hate having to take off the bottom cover to be able to track people.

I don't have the 502 (yet). I'm still running the G500 and it is brilliant. But now I'm scared for what the future holds for this venerable mouse if you are having trouble with it! 8O

@Sin: Maybe your specific unit is faulty? I'd go buy a new one at Best Buy and try it out. They have a 15-day return policy so that gives you plenty of time to test it out and then return it.
