Subject:  bunker vs IOW community gathering.
Posting to see who is interested.

We are not looking for an official scrim. Just a community gathering.

Details can be discussed as far as who is hosting and what rules etc.. This is more about fun and drawing attention to both servers. You guys host a great server with a similar player base so it has potential.

thoughts?

Lets not call it a scrim. That is too official.

Might be good at some point to set some guidelines as well.

If we get enough interest I would like to see the "regulars" from each community get together without the so called "ringers" joining and fucking it up for everyone.

That means no banana... lmao. Just to bring up the point.

You guys have a great group of regulars. I havent talked to anyone on IOW that I havent liked yet. Bunker has a great community as well. Although bunker has a stricter set of guidelines and attempts to keep a "proper" appearance. Those of you that have talked to me, I am not the face of bunker.. haha. I think that I might embarrass them at times.

We can discuss who will host the gathering as well. Bunker is used to no spawn killing etc so some of the rules are varied but I think that wont be a problem as long as it is known ahead of time.

Thanks for your consideration! Great to see the positive response.

I'd suggest a team captain type situation. Where one person from each clan is designated leader and chooses from the people who show up to make the teams. That way if Banana / NAMEANOTHERCRACKSHOTSUPERMEDIC wanted to play we wouldn't have to say ffffuuuuuu.

Or we could just put a password on the server for the night

Well, this is iow vs bunker, so I don't know why banana would be involved. If it's just open to anyone, then might as well be Friday night gaming. I think it should be more organized than that. I understand this is casual and just for fun. But if you are designating tjw people as part of our community then we'll take um. :). I know bunker isn't a clan but a community.

since IoW is a clan and we have a definitive and rigid set of members, we as such can't by definition have any "ringers"

i leave it up to you, neurosis, to not have raider on your team under alias ;)

Dont confuse my blathering talk of "ringers" as meaning that we dont want good players playing. I apologize for that.

I should have said that I dont want outsiders coming in from other communities and wearing a bunker or iow tag. I'd like to try to keep it community member specific.

Also, we should discuss who will host. I havent seen any input from the bunker administration but then again, I havent asked yet. I am open to any mod, rules, etc. I'd like to hear what others think from both communities.

to add,

We have had a thread going on Bunker about this for quite some time. If anyone wants to add their input there please feel free. I know that it is a pain to join a forum just to post on a topic like this but any input helps.

Here is the bunker thread link if you just want to eavesdrop on the topic going on in our forum. I also apologize for the length of that thread.. ive been trying to put this together for a while but i met a little resistance on our side for a bit Then I was apprehensive about posting here having not really known anyone. Those of you that have talked to me on t/s know how shy I am. ;)

you should post a link to the bunker forums.

im sure we can host. we usually host and set it to a stopwatch/twl match settings.

it is actually a punishable offence to wear IoW tags while not in the clan ;)
so noone will be doing this :D

but then again i guess this goes without saying for most "clans". I think we are all a bit new to this et "community" idea like like tjw have going on and i guess bunker as well.

we are still stuck in the good old days of ranked members and promotions and the lot :D
