Getting tons of 404 and 500 errors starting last night on the forums. Do you know if our host is doing some server update or something?

I've sent them an email. They didn't warn us of anything goign on. Probably related to all that lag some of us were getting maybe?

No idea what's causing this mess, but I've been getting 503 errors as well.

Well, that was an easy fix! :P

Hopefully it helps also with that strange lag people were getting on the server. Did you mention that in the email as well?

now im getting a lot of the "Debug Mode" errors .. these are a lot less annoying to deal with however. these are the errors that if you hit refresh, it will re-post whatever you posted (since to get to the "Debug Mode" error, you have to submit a post)

Its because people select to be notified of posts in a thread and we gave no SMTP mail host configured.

I believe this mail issue has been fixed. Is a bug in PHP and I used a workaround in consultation with the host manager to get it to work.

Yes indeed - less annoying errors that cause people to resubmit.

you da man! this will probably make things a bit faster too.

whenever i would get a db error, it would also take forever to actually bring up the error page. now when the posts are going through no problem, there is no wait for that error screen :D
