I should note that I wasn't as impressed with their live performance when I saw them. YES and Metallica were both better

What you have to do is turn down et's music volume all the way, but put the effects volume up high, so you can hear footsteps over moderate volume music.

What music? Like before and after the maps? I listen to headphones when I play - I definitely find it much more rewarding to listen to the movement of enemy players on the map, and don't like being distracted with music.

That's probably the music it controls.

I personally need some sort of battle music when I play, otherwise I get bored too fast. And my footsteps are 2-3 times louder than my music, so I can easily hear them.

(effects volume in ET is maxed, music volume in VLC is around 30%)

other than about half of becks music, i've never heard of any of the bands that the rest of you folk listen too

a lot of them seem indy rock/heavy metal/industrial or w/e the fuck u call it
