This would involve:
-Only frags done on the IOW server
-frags that are interesting to watch, goombas too!
-Frags would have to be done by IoW members, and general puggers too, not just anyone that shows up wanting to be in a movie.
-Would need a good amount of demos sent w/ times of frags as the name.

Plz discuss if any of u would be interested in helping making sumthing like this, cause i think it would be cool to get everyone involved into a video, its fun to show others ur ownage. So if enough people are interested start recording.

Do you have any suggestions on demos? I have tried to record in short bursts, but that doesn't always work. I'm sure if you're compiling this stuff you don't want to sit through 25 minutes demos for one good kill at the end, right?

well bexie an easy way to do it is you let the demo run during a map. Then you just record the times when you "do something amazing" lol like for example if you get a 6 man airstrike or something at 1143 kb then you just write down 6man airstrike at 1143kb and we can find it. But if you guys want we can show you an example video and you can see what it would look like if you've neva seen one before

no just when u replay ur demo, write down like 10 secs before ur frag would start, say the frag happens at 4:30 on the game clock , then rename the demo to 4:30iow or sumthing like that, im not gonna sit threw 30 mins of demo and find the one or two frags, that would be the sendie's job.

i think game clock is alot easier to specify so if ur recording , besure to have the game clock on ur hud. although everything will be rerecorded in a different movie config, which adds better quality than most play in game.

Yes, I have seen some sweet frag videos with good editing and good soundtrack - I'd honestly be honored to be featured in one :D.

Sometimes, I start recording (or think that I have) and then I click my toggle to stop - yet it then says "starting". Like WTF - so I'm not sure about recording a whole map like you say Jewman - but I guess that's the only way you can be sure to catch any brilliant kills that you might have.

haha i just do whole map because yah neva know when something will occur. I have a demo of me getting 4 goomba kills in a row on gold rush all within about a minute. But yah anyone in IoW and some of our "closer" pubbers can be featured in it :) and the nice thing is we can make as many frag videos as we want!

I can skim through my huge database of demos to find one or two good kills. Most of mine are old though. I have a good one from when I scrim'd IOW but I don't know if that counts. I'll start recording again, and I'll play fg42, can pull some sick stuff with that thing.

I'm going to have to be shown how to upload movies though. I have no idea where to upload to or what to click.

well im going to see if i can get a ftp or sumthing set up, so people can drop it off in there, or a gmail account or sumthing that people can send to. Im not sure how we will actually do the file transfering, but it would be nicei f u can actually cut the footage urself if u know how, but usually id be expecting the whole map, i just delete the footage once i get wat i need.

Ya just autodemo if ur expecting big frags its easier, delete demos u know are bad.

i'm assuming not converting them to avi files cuz they could be huge, unless dm_84 is compressed to begin with which wouldnt make the files huge

so you would want them as mpegs most likely if we edit our own footage or wanna keep em uncompressed into avi? or even wmv?

I say no, mainly because I don't want to be in it or watch it. Not a big fan of frag movies...

Would be a good clan activity though, help encourage activity. Since it has to be in the IoW server maybe more members will play nicely (on demo lol) and play more often.
