Are his solo efforts just as good as Floyd's?

Different, but still good. He's more of a concept album guy, so there is more fluidity and more of an overall story in his albums - think "The Wall". You'll hear less great guitar riffs and solos (ala David Gilmour from Floyd) and more meaningful lyrics and relatable songs. The one I'm listening to now, "Pros & Cons..." is almost like a broadway play more than anything. It has background dialogue and characters. The entire album takes place in a dream, where each song starts at a different time in the early morning. For example "4:41 AM - Sexual Revolution". The next song is "4:47 AM - The Remains of our Love". As to the guitar work - you'll hear Eric Clapton playing lead guitar on this album :thumb. I've seen him in concert - it was fricken AWESOME! A good collection of Floyd hits and his solo stuff complete with amazing lightshows and the smell of indo in the air 8).

INDO!?!?! Smells more like outdo to me. 8)
Ill have to check his solo stuff out then.Danke.

I think if you're a true Floyd fan, you'd like him.
I have all his solos, all of Gilmours' and all of Syd Barrets' as well. Haven't got any Richard Wright yet, but I hear they're good as well. EDIT: Almost forgot... "PUFF PUFF GIVE! PUFF PUFF GIVE! You can get killed with somebody else!!!"
