The chat box in which u talk to others (T) is kinda broken for me. The old messages wont disappear until another message comes. I deleted my profile and created an profile and it worked but after i went to another server the same problem came and when i went to another server there was no problem. But after i again came to iow i have the same problem. Any ideas on how to fix it.

When i try to join the twl server it gives an error message saying incoorect exe. somwthing. How do i fix it?

Incorrect ET.exe verion ?
You need to download new patch. i quess. Nortie gave me a link couple month ago where you can download it. I had a same problem.

And I'm having a hard time visualizing this other problem with the chat.

I know I've had instances where I've gone into the console and scrolled up, and then forgot to scroll down, then when I go to the next map, my console is totally f'd and all I have is > on every line, nothing that is said or done is reflected in the console again.

But you are saying that the text that appears on the screen in the bottom of the main view stays up? That's a new one for me? Standard response: try re-installing the game. :smt017

when you mess up the console you can either user page down to scroll all the way through to the bottom or do what i do \clear
so you clear everything out and start fresh.
I also am not 100% sure of what you mean by the "chat" box staying up could you tak ea screen shot of this to illustrate?

ctrl + end works to bring the thing down. SO you don't have to clear.

The chat box where u press "t" and type all the shit for others to see. When someone types a message it stays there without disapearing, it only disappears when a new message is written by sum1. But normally when a message is written it will automatically fade out within 5 seconds but not mine. :roll: If u guys dont uderstand i will take a screen shot and show l8er.

(must try to get into the etpro server :-)

that message is still there even after so long, it should have faded out.

I had the same issue on etpro once. It's a cvar. Not sure which one, I might have to do some research.

If u know wat the cvar is then i can fix it for in the etpro server i dont have this problem so i can type the cvar and press tab to find its correct value. But i need to know wat the cvar is :roll:

Yo check whether this is the cvar and if it is tell me wats the real value for it.
