Don't Nvidias have a "generic" type driver download? I mean if you download a driver Nvidia (Video driver) it should work for ALL Nvidia drivers right?

Its at fileshack, download the latest one and install it.

You can also download all drivers from the main nVidia page.

nvidia does have a one driver download. its like a 20 meg file o rsomething like that, really big, but you run it and it will install what ya need.

I wish I knew atleast a little bit about computers.... if I ever find the drivers tat I need and I download them do I have to unzip them or anytrhing? or install them or do they do all that fancy shit themselves cause i dont really know how to do that shit

just need to know what your video card is and i could get you the direct link to your drivers.

Go to this URL:

http://www.nvidia.com/content/drivers/drivers.asp

Then click 'Graphics Drivers' in the left box, then your card type* in the center box, then your OS (Windows XP probably) in the right box. Click the 'Go' button and it will load a new page. Click 'Primary Download Site'. A new page opens - accept the license agreement. Another new page opens (asks for e-mail address and crap, just ignore it and click 'Click here if the download doesn't start in several seconds'. A standard 'Save As' dialog appears. It appears to be an executable (40MB, the one I selected), so hopefully after downloading, just run the executable and it will probably update your driver.


* To determine what card you have:
Click: Start | Settings | Control Panel | System | Hardware Tab | Device Manager Button. Then expand 'Display Adapters' and you should see what you need there.

or assumning your directx is up to date enough you goto
run
type in dxdiag
click on display
and it tells you your vid card name there

guys i already told him how to download drivers and gave him the direct link and that still didnt work, i also gave him link to install directx 9c, and if he did that correctly, it still no work

I get the feeling he was a bit overwhelmed with suggestions, so I tried to consolidate it all into one post.

i talked to him through msn two days ago and after doin what i suggested he comes here askin fo the same suggestions wastin other peeps time :twisted: :twisted: :twisted: :twisted: :twisted: :twisted:

i suggested he get a new vid card. He has a an old nividia tnt riva. tried using the updated drivers on nvid site and they say they dont recognize any software/hardware for them. so im thinking his card be a bit out of date.

me and nort tried all the things you have all suggested and then some we tried for 2 hours or more and nothing worked quizzle and i are going to give a few more things a try and if nothing works then me and nort are setting up a new video card for my machine if hes still up for that.....IM TRYIN FUCKERS D-Day will be back hahah when though i dunno but i will thanks for everyones help though so far you have been awesome and Nort if you send me a video card you will have to send instructions with it hahahaha i dont know how to take my old one out or put the new one in
